Senator Sanders, an Independent from Vermont, attributed Trump’s electoral success to a political and economic system overwhelmingly influenced by the nation’s wealthiest individuals and major corporations. He highlighted that this system has led to severe wealth and power disparities.<\/p>\n
“This is the embodiment of an Oligarchy,” Sanders remarked. “Currently, while 60% of Americans are barely making ends meet with each paycheck, just three multi-billionaires possess more wealth than the lower half of the entire American population.”<\/p>\n
Sanders pointed out the alarming levels of control and ownership concentration in various sectors\u2014from healthcare and financial services to food, transport, and housing\u2014not seen since the Gilded Age.
