Directed by Guillaume Nicloux and written by Nathalie Leuthreau, the film delves into 30 years in the life of this extraordinary artist.<\/p>\n

“Like many, I had only a vague idea of who Sarah Bernhardt was. People would say she was ‘the first global star’, ‘a sacred monster’, that ‘people fainted when she performed’. She had a kind of absolute greatness…”, explains Sandrine Kiberlain.<\/p>\n

“When I first read the script, I loved how Nathalie Leuthreau portrayed her life without making it a typical biopic. It doesn’t talk about her childhood.
