Lois Lane Turns Deadly in a Deleted Scene from Superman II!<\/h2>\n

In the original film of the franchise, Lois Lane harbors strong suspicions about her clumsy colleague. However, at the start of Superman II, she is still unaware that Clark Kent and Superman are one and the same. While on assignment at the romantic Niagara Falls\u2014a quintessentially romantic spot in the United States\u2014Clark Kent accidentally reveals his superhuman nature by letting his arm roast in a fireplace, completely unscathed. Yet, in a deleted scene from the movie directed by Richard Lester\u2014who took over from Richard Donner\u2014it’s a different incident that allows Lois Lane to see through the bespectacled facade… and it’s considerably less “cozy”!<\/p>\n

A Daring Dame for Superman<\/h2>\n

Threatening him with a revolver, the astute Lois has the guts to shoot at Clark, who, of course, comes out without a scratch… but not without feeling hurt that his beloved would risk such a thing. However, the cunning Lois reveals her trick: she was firing blanks! This scene will delight fans of the brilliant duo formed by the sensitive Christopher Reeve and the vibrant Margot Kidder, a maverick in cinema highly regarded by George Lucas and others from her early days. <\/p>\n

Perfectly comfortable in the role of this ambitious, mocking, and bold journalist, she forms a very endearing pair with the actor. Having become very close friends with Reeve, who later suffered a tragic horse-riding accident, her career was followed by fans who adored her in Superman… Fans who will undoubtedly see a worthy successor to Margot Kidder in the new portrayal of Lois Lane by the talented Rachel Brosnahan, the comedic star of the series Mrs. Maisel!<\/p>\n
