He was perfect, amazing<\/i>,\u201d Scott stated, while Poehler expressed her amazement, \u201c<i>He is incredible, and I wasn\u2019t ready<\/i>,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"bo-p\">When <span class=\"ACrL3BACrlcnNvbm5lL2ZpY2hlcGVyc29ubmVfZ2VuX2NwZXJzb25uZT0xMDA4MzAuaHRtbA== bo-link\">Amy Poehler<\/span> inquired about how far he got in the audition process, <span class=\"ACrL3BACrlcnNvbm5lL2ZpY2hlcGVyc29ubmVfZ2VuX2NwZXJzb25uZT0yMDY0NS5odG1s bo-link\">Adam Scott<\/span> responded, \u201c<i>We went through auditions together.<\/i>\u201d The former SNL star then empathized, \u201c<i>That hurts.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"bo-h2\">Reevaluation<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"bo-p\">\u201c<i>That&#8217;s when I thought, \u2018Maybe I\u2019ll stop. I think it\u2019s time to draw conclusions and leave,\u2019<\/i>\u201d Scott explained, adding that it had been \u201c<i>painful<\/i>\u201d especially given the ubiquity and popularity of the show. (To quote Poehler, it\u2019s like \u201c<i>watching someone sleep with your girlfriend in front of you<\/i>\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"bo-p\">\u201c<i>Absolutely<\/i>,\u201d <span class=\"ACrL3BACrlcnNvbm5lL2ZpY2hlcGVyc29ubmVfZ2VuX2NwZXJzb25uZT0yMDY0NS5odG1s bo-link\">Adam Scott<\/span> affirmed, noting that the series \u201c<i>overshadowed all others<\/i>\u201d during its run from 2001 to 2005. \u201c<i>It was THE show.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"bo-p\">However, the &#8220;Big Little Lies&#8221; actor eventually made a guest appearance on the show in season 2, playing the boyfriend of the younger Fisher brother (Hall). <span class=\"ACrL3BACrlcnNvbm5lL2ZpY2hlcGVyc29ubmVfZ2VuX2NwZXJzb25uZT0yMDY0NS5odG1s bo-link\">Adam Scott<\/span> noted that the experience was \u201c<i>fun<\/i>\u201d and that <span class=\"ACrL3BACrlcnNvbm5lL2ZpY2hlcGVyc29ubmVfZ2VuX2NwZXJzb25uZT03NTgwNC5odG1s bo-link\">Michael C. Hall<\/span> was \u201c<i>lovely<\/i>,\u201d concluding, \u201c<i>But yeah, it was a tough hit. It was hard. Packed with irony, the series explores themes of mortality through the life of Nate (Peter Krause), who is forced to take over the family business after his father&#8217;s death. For his role, <span class=\"ACrL3BACrlcnNvbm5lL2ZpY2hlcGVyc29ubmVfZ2VuX2NwZXJzb25uZT03NTgwNC5odG1s bo-link\">Michael C.
