Despite retirement rumors swirling around, 85-year-old Brian De Palma is gearing up to direct a new movie, “Sweet Vengeance,” with filming scheduled for this summer.<\/p>\n

A towering figure in the New Hollywood era, Brian De Palma has been a vocal admirer of Alfred Hitchcock. Since the 1970s, De Palma has reshaped American cinema with numerous classics like “Carrie,” “Body Double,” “Scarface,” “The Untouchables,” and “Mission: Impossible.”<\/p>\n

Following his last movie, “Domino – The Silent War,” which went largely unnoticed in 2019, it was believed that the 85-year-old filmmaker had retired. However, there’s good news: his next project is taking shape and could begin shooting as soon as this summer.<\/p>\n

According to an exclusive report by TheFilmStage<\/span>, De Palma’s new film, titled “Sweet Vengeance,” is set to be filmed in Portugal after eight years in development. While the cast is still being assembled and remains undisclosed at this time, anticipation is building.<\/p>\n
