And I wasn’t surprised when he ventured into dramatic roles in movies like Eternal Sunshine… Everyone thought, ‘Wow, he\u2019s a real actor.'”<\/p>\n

“Firstly, I believe it’s much harder to make people laugh than to make them cry. Moreover, I think that if you can do the more challenging task, you can certainly do the less challenging one. I believe that to be a great comedian, you need to possess an element of tragedy. And he can do it all. That’s really his hallmark.”<\/p>\n

Which lesser-known Jim Carrey films does he recommend? “Man on the Moon was quite an under-the-radar release and wasn’t a blockbuster. It\u2019s a truly beautiful film by Milo\u0161 Forman. And there\u2019s another film by Frank Darabont, which I believe almost no one has seen, called The Majestic. It’s set in the 1950s, during the McCarthy era.”<\/p>\n

“These are both quite dramatic films. But really, I recommend them. They are films that received critical acclaim and, in my opinion, deserved much more recognition than they got.”<\/p>\n
