Therefore, “Victor Like Everyone” skillfully blends these elements, creating a unique film that is both a tribute and a study of the parallels between an actor and a writer. “This isn\u2019t just a film about an actor in theater. It\u2019s about life, about a craftsman obsessed with an idea to the exclusion of all else. It’s about a personality defined by what’s missing, which is something I\u2019ve been finding more as I age,<\/i>” Luchini remarks.<\/p>\n

A Project Originally Envisioned by Filmmaker Sophie Filli\u00e8res<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that the film had a unique beginning. It was initially a screenplay written by Sophie Filli\u00e8res, who passed away on July 31, 2023. Pascal Bonitzer, who was close to the director, took over the project. Filli\u00e8res, who began the project in 2020, was set to direct it herself before her long illness took its toll. This is the second of Filli\u00e8res’ projects to be posthumously completed, following “My Life, My Face,” released in September 2024.<\/p>\n
