Exciting news for NCIS fans: a new spin-off is on the horizon! The American network CBS has just announced an order for a spin-off titled “NCIS: New York” for the 2026\/2027 season. As the title suggests, the show will be set in the Big Apple and will feature a legendary hero from the franchise!<\/p>\n

A New “NCIS” Spin-Off Series<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

So, who is this well-known character at the heart of the new project? It\u2019s Sam Hanna from “NCIS: Los Angeles,” played by LL Cool J! As a reminder, “NCIS: Los Angeles” aired from 2009 to 2023. Since its cancellation, the actor has reprised his role in “NCIS: Hawaii” (cancelled in 2025) and in “NCIS.”<\/p>\n

In “NCIS: New York,” we’ll see Sam returning to his hometown to join the local office. He’ll team up with an agent who has an unpredictable nature! Together, they will lead a new team tasked with high-stakes missions to protect one of the world\u2019s most important cities and ports…<\/p>\n

From Los Angeles to New York<\/h2>\n

Sam will be partnered in “NCIS: New York,” and we already know who will play his new sidekick. LL Cool J will star alongside Scott Caan, who previously portrayed Danny in another popular series of the 2010s, “Hawaii Five-0”!<\/p>\n

While we wait for more details, Sam will make a special guest appearance on “NCIS” in season 23, currently airing for viewers across the Atlantic.
