The first glimpses of the third Minions movie, titled “Minions & Monsters,” were revealed during the Super Bowl. This time, the beloved yellow creatures are on a quest to find a monster!<\/p>\n

Two years following the release of “Despicable Me 4,” which amassed $972 million at the global box office, the Minions are back with “Minions & Monsters,” known in French as “Des Minions et des monstres.” This marks the seventh installment in the most profitable animated franchise ever.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As the third spin-off in a series that has already generated $5.6 billion worldwide, the feature film is penned by Brian Lynch, who also wrote the earlier spin-offs, and directed by Pierre Coffin, the French filmmaker behind the first three “Despicable Me” movies as well as the original Minions film. It’s worth noting that Coffin continues to lend his voice to the iconic yellow characters.<\/p>\n

In this new chapter, the Minions set their sights on conquering Hollywood. Now bona fide movie stars, the small yellow beings decide to produce their own monster movie. However, in their search for the perfect antagonist, they accidentally awaken real monsters, unleashing global chaos that they must then strive to resolve.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The first images released today promise yet another barrage of visual gags, a fast pace, nods to classic monster films, and the consistently expressive animation we’ve come to expect.<\/p>\n

And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, Universal has announced an earlier release date: originally scheduled to hit French theaters on July 1, 2026, “Minions & Monsters” will now premiere on June 24, 2026.<\/p>\n
