While Bryan Cranston recently shared his favorite scene from the series (which was not the finale), he also revealed that he was troubled by the filming of another. In an interview with reporters from Variety<\/i>, the actor, who also returned to his role in Malcolm, admitted that he was only shown the script for Season 4\u2019s Episode 12 at the last minute. In this episode, he assures Jesse (played by Aaron Paul) that he did not poison little Brock, the son of Andrea (Emily Rios).<\/p>\n

“Jesse threatens me with a gun because he thinks I’ve poisoned the boy, and I’m thinking, ‘Why would I do such a thing?’<\/i>“, Cranston remembered thinking, as he believed Walter White was incapable of such an act. However, just a few days later, the actor discovered the shocking truth: “The next episode came along, I read it, and I thought, ‘Oh, I did it. Oops. My bad!’<\/i>“.<\/p>\n

Director Vince Gilligan Aimed to Maintain the Element of Surprise<\/h2>\n

If Bryan Cranston was so shaken by this scene, it was because Vince Gilligan, the creator and writer of Breaking Bad, intentionally kept upcoming plot twists hidden from him. In the interview, the American actor shared, “Actors usually don\u2019t even receive a synopsis of the entire season and typically get their scripts one at a time<\/i>“. This approach clearly enhanced the shock factor for Cranston.<\/p>\n
