The 19th edition of the Angoul\u00eame Francophone Film Festival is set to occur from August 24 to August 29, 2026, opening with “Nie vue, ni connue” starring Isabelle Huppert and Sandrine Kiberlain, with numerous celebrities expected to attend.<\/p>\n

This year, the Angoul\u00eame Francophone Film Festival will take place from Monday, August 24 to Saturday, August 29, 2026.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The festival will once again roll out its blue carpet for some of the most anticipated Francophone cinema releases of the year, with an already thrilling XXL program!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

About thirty films will compete and premiere (the list will be finalized by the end of July), not to mention various tributes and heritage films. Following last year’s tribute to Denys Arcand, this edition will honor Nathalie Baye with a retrospective of her films.<\/p>\n

Tribute to Nathalie Baye<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

“We felt compelled to pay tribute to Nathalie Baye, as she has always been a loyal supporter of the festival, and as everyone knows, she’s the actress of my life<\/i>, said Dominique Besnehard at the press conference, visibly moved.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We wanted to showcase another facet of her talent in perhaps lesser-known films for which she received prestigious awards, such as the Volpi Cup at Venice or the Best Actress award at San Sebasti\u00e1n. These were significant films that she cherished, though perhaps forgotten by the general public.<\/i><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We will thus present films like Un week-end sur deux by Nicole Garcia, Mensonge by Fran\u00e7ois Margolin, Si je t’aime, prends garde \u00e0 toi by Jeanne Labrune, Une liaison pornographique by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Fonteyne (for which she received the Best Actress award at Venice), Barnie et ses petites contrari\u00e9t\u00e9s by Bruno Chiche, Mon fils \u00e0 moi by Martial Fougeron, La Californie by Jacques Fieschi, and Gar\u00e7on chiffon by Nicolas Maury, one of her latest roles.<\/i><\/p>\n

Jury Led by Franck Dubosc<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

The jury is chaired by Franck Dubosc, accompanied by Rose-Marie Perreault (actress), Jean-Paul Salom\u00e9 (director and screenwriter), Marie-Christine Barrault (actress), Antoine Wauters (author), Charlotte Lipinska (film critic), Julien de Saint Jean (actor), D\u00e9borah Lukumuena, and Marine (Star Academy, singer). The jury of Francophone students will be chaired by Sara Mortensen (actress).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The opening film will be Ni vue, ni connue by Marc Fitoussi. Dix pour cent the movie by Emilie Noblet will close the festival, with the full cast attending the event in Angoul\u00eame for this special evening.<\/p>\n

Below are the 10 films in the competition followed by the premieres. Several other selections, notably highlighting first feature films or documentaries and reruns, are also scheduled.<\/p>\n
