Ecuador: Impeachment Proceedings To Begin Against President
The Constitutional Court of Ecuador has ruled to allow impeachment proceedings against the neoliberal President Guillermo Lasso for the alleged crime of embezzlement.
An official statement from the courts explained that the plenary session resolved to “reject the two accusations related to the alleged crime of extortion, and admit the accusation of impeachment related to the alleged crime of embezzlement.”
