85-Year-Old Oscar Winner Joins True Story Film After 90 Movies

Al Pacino joins the cast of “Maserati: The Brothers,” starring alongside Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, and Jessica Alba.

Fresh from his role as fashion mogul Aldo Gucci in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, Al Pacino is now set to appear in Bobby Moresco’s Maserati: The Brothers. The director continues his cinematic exploration of automotive brand founders following his work on Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend. He also has plans for two additional movies: Ferrari vs. Mercedes and Bugatti.

Maserati: The Brothers delves into the origins of the luxury Italian car brand Maserati, established in Bologna in 1914 by three brothers: Alfieri, Ettore, and Ernesto.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Al Pacino will portray businessman Vincenzo Vaccaro, an early supporter and investor in the Maserati family’s automotive empire. The film’s second part is scheduled to begin shooting in June in Rome, with a release planned for the fall.

Al Pacino Versus Anthony Hopkins

Al Pacino, along with Gina La Piana and Tatiana Luter, will join previously announced actors Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, Jessica Alba, Michele Morrone, and Salvatore Esposito.

This marks the second time cinema legends Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins collaborate, following their earlier partnership in the 2016 VOD release thriller, Misconduct.

Meanwhile, Al Pacino is set to lead in David Midell’s upcoming exorcism film, The Ritual – The Exorcism of Emma Schmidt, premiering August 6. The 85-year-old actor also has three completed projects awaiting release: Johnny Depp’s Modi – Three Days on the Wing of Madness, Bernard Rose’s period film Lear Rex, and Julian Schnabel’s thriller In the Hand of Dante.

Additionally, Pacino is expected to star in Dito Montiel’s Captivated and Barry Levinson’s Assassination, featuring Jessica Chastain, Brendan Fraser, and Bryan Cranston.
