Released in May 2024, this action comedy starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt is a must-watch. Catch it on Netflix before it leaves in a few days…
Attention Ryan Gosling fans! In just a few days, Netflix will be removing The Fall Guy from its lineup, a film inspired by the ’80s TV show The Fall Guy and a vibrant tribute to the world of stunt performing.
The former Ken from Barbie here plays a stunt double who gets shot at, blown up, crushed, thrown out of windows, and consistently falls from greater heights… much to the delight of the audience. Following an accident that nearly ended his career, this unsung hero of the cinema must locate a missing star, foil a plot, and try to win back the love of his life (Emily Blunt) while risking his life daily on set.
A Must-See for Action Fans
After each starring in the blockbuster cinematic clash of summer 2023, dubbed “Barbenheimer” by industry insiders, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt share the screen in The Fall Guy, an action-packed, humorous film directed by David Leitch. The genre fits these two actors perfectly. Their evident friendship and chemistry are the highlights of this production, which has been well-received by audiences, earning an average rating of 3.6 out of 5.
But more than anything, The Fall Guy is a love letter from its director to the profession of stunt performing, a role he himself has played in franchises such as xXx, Matrix, or 300. This approach was particularly appreciated by Steven Spielberg himself, who endorsed the film, as revealed by Ryan Gosling in an interview.
The Fall Guy will leave Netflix on the 28th of February.
