Netflix’s top sci-fi series is set to conclude in four months, marking the end of an era on the platform. Fans are eagerly anticipating the final episodes of “Stranger Things”.
The trailer for this year’s most anticipated series on Netflix has already garnered 19 million views. With the finale of its best sci-fi series just four months away, it truly is the end of an era for the streaming service.
Streaming since 2016, this series has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from viewers on AlloCiné and has been a flagship series in Netflix’s catalog, culminating in its fifth and final season.
And it’s safe to say that the fans will be there. Netflix might just break new records with the release of the final episodes of Stranger Things, judging by the trailer views and fan comments.
Season 5 of “Stranger Things” is the Year’s Most Anticipated
After delays due to the 2023 Hollywood writers and actors strike, the fifth season of Stranger Things will be released in three parts from November 27, 2025, to January 1, 2026, on Netflix.
The end of the year will be dominated by the Duffer Brothers’ sci-fi series, and fans are already gearing up for what they hope or already consider a future success.
“I’m expecting a banger for season 5” (Scorpills), “I can’t wait to see season 5 because this series is a masterpiece” (Manéo Oudry), “Simply the best series in the world I highly recommend it, watch it before season 5 comes out this winter 2025” (Giuliani Murris Giraud),… recent comments on AlloCiné reveal.
The anticipation and excitement are the same in the comments under the trailer, which has racked up 19 million views. “Can someone please fast forward time to November?”, “This was the series that propelled Netflix, it’s also your best series. Undoubtedly. Make it messy, there needs to be blood. But do it right.”, “It’s going to be epic, I can feel it”, are among the comments.
What to Expect from Season 5 of “Stranger Things”?
Fans of Stranger Things will have to say goodbye to the cast that has grown significantly since the Duffer Brothers’ series began, including Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Noah Schnapp (Will), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Keery (Steve), Maya Hawke (Robin), Priah Ferguson (Erica), and Sadie Sink (Max).

As a reminder, the official synopsis for season 5 of Stranger Things:
“Autumn 1987. Hawkins still bears the deep scars left by the opening of the rifts. Our heroes have only one goal: to find Vecna… and destroy him. But no one knows where he is hiding or what he is planning.
The government has placed the town under military quarantine and is doubling efforts to capture Eleven, who is forced, once again, to hide. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, panic sets in.
The ultimate battle looms, and with it, a darkness more formidable and deadly than ever before. To end this nightmare, they will need everyone. All together. One last time.”
Season 5 of “Stranger Things” will be available in three parts on Netflix: a part of 4 episodes on November 27, a part of 3 episodes on December 26, and the final episode on January 1, 2026.
