Alain Leaves Elisabeth

It’s still early when Nicolas calls Elisabeth to tell her he ultimately did not publish the controversial brief. Terrified at the thought of the photos being spread on social media, Elisabeth reminds him that this scandal could ruin her life. But Nicolas refuses to betray his readers’ trust. Outraged, Elisabeth accuses him of being a coward before hanging up.

Meanwhile, Sérignan finds out that Nicolas did not publish the article. And to say the least, the businessman is furious.

Elsewhere, Elisabeth desperately tries to contact Sérignan but he remains unreachable. Panicked, the businesswoman confides in Muriel. Muriel encourages her to tell Alain the whole truth before he learns about it through the media. But Elisabeth refuses to give up and is convinced that it’s still possible to avert disaster. Unfortunately for her, the photos end up on social media.

Naturally, the news spreads like wildfire. Alain soon learns of his wife’s infidelity. The doctor is devastated.

On her side, Valérie still hopes to mend things with her husband. Despite all he has put her through, she still waits for him to come back to her. That’s when Nicolas comes home. He apologizes for publishing the photos.

As night falls, Elisabeth returns home and finds Alain packing his bags. With tears in her eyes, she tries to explain what drove her into Nicolas’s arms. But Alain refuses to listen. Desperate, Elisabeth tries to stop him, to no avail. Alain leaves the house without looking back.

Eve Pens a Letter to the Judge

At breakfast, Eve asks Manu about the progress of the investigation. She specifically wants to know if Boris and Muriel have been questioned by the police. Manu tells her that the investigators are tracking the drug traffickers and that’s all she needs to know.

Meanwhile, Boris and Muriel return from their honeymoon. It’s a chance for the newlyweds to talk about their unforgettable day. Although he suspected his mother wouldn’t come, Boris had hoped until the last second that she would be there to share the moment.

At the same time, Laurine urges her mother to apologize to Boris for missing the wedding. But Catherine categorically refuses. Worse still, she believes it’s Boris who should be asking for her forgiveness.

Eve, on her part, calls Claudine. Indeed, the French teacher cannot resign herself to this adoption. While Claudine understands her desire to protect her son’s memory, she reminds her that she has no say in this procedure. Eve then inquires if there’s a way to stop the adoption from going through. Claudine explains that it would require a serious issue involving Muriel or Boris. Eve brings up the reopened investigation into Eliott’s death and mentions that their innocence was never formally established. But Claudine makes it clear that proving this will be exceedingly difficult.

In the afternoon, Muriel visits Eve to pick up Toma. The French teacher takes this opportunity to ask why she is so eager to adopt the young boy. Visibly uncomfortable, Muriel tells her that now is not the right time to discuss it but promises to answer all her questions soon.

At the end of the day, Eve writes a letter to the judge: “I take the liberty of writing to you to alert you to the great peril threatening my grandson. I am aware of the fragility of this approach but regardless, I cannot stand idly by as the danger becomes clearer and more tangible each day. I hope to rely on your listening ear, kindness, and care. I have no doubt that after presenting the facts to you, you will make the right decision“.
