One of the unexpected hits of 2023, the comedy “Chasse gardée” starring Didier Bourdon, Chantal Ladesou, Camille Lou, and Hakim Jemili, is soon getting a sequel, arriving in cinemas on December 10th! The trailer for “Chasse gardée” has just been unveiled.

Official Synopsis Revealed

The plot of the sequel has been revealed. We will catch up with the characters two years after the events of the first film. It’s been two peaceful years in Saint Hubert, maybe too peaceful for Adélaïde and Simon who find themselves longing for friends their own age. Their lives are turned upside down by the arrival of Stanislas, the son of Bernard (the former president of the village hunters), who moves back to the countryside with his wife and two children. They are young, attractive, and friendly. Their only flaw: they are avid participants in stag hunting! The village’s peace is about to be disrupted: new neighbors, new problems…

A First Installment That Captured Audiences

The original film, directed by Antoine Fourlon and Frédéric Forestier, attracted an audience of 2 million viewers. Given its success, discussions of a sequel emerged quickly. Less than a month after the film’s release, Lucie Trampoglieri, general manager of UGC Distribution, told Le Parisien, “We are seriously considering [a sequel]“. She added, “It was during Covid that the screenwriter envisioned a story pitting newcomers against hunters. Now, we need to find the right idea.”

In Theaters December 10, 2025

The cast remains largely the same (Didier Bourdon, Camille Lou, Hakim Jemili, Chantal Ladesou, as well as Thierry Lhermitte, Julien Pestel, Jean-François Cayrey…), with the exception of one new addition: Maxime Gasteuil joins the ensemble!

Is “Chasse gardée” starring Didier Bourdon a good film? Early viewers are sharing their thoughts.

The first installment took us to a tranquil village. In the heart of this beautiful region, a dream house in the midst of nature was up for sale. For Simon and Adelaïde, cramped in their Parisian apartment with their two children, this was the perfect opportunity to make a major change and escape the urban chaos.

However, the dream quickly turned into a nightmare when they realized their seemingly friendly neighbors were using their yard… as a hunting ground! A battle ensued, and all bets were off!

The release date is set for December 10, 2025, exactly two years after the first installment.
