Highlighting American actress Mila Kunis’s first ever movie role in 1996, in the comedy “Santa with Muscles,” starring none other than wrestling icon Hulk Hogan!
Mila Kunis, currently seen since December 12 in the Netflix film “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Story,” is a well-recognized face in Hollywood. First gaining fame from “That 70’s Show,” Kunis, who was Natalie Portman’s rival in “Black Swan,” has explored various genres throughout her career, from comedy (such as “Ted,” “Friends with Benefits,” “Bad Moms”) to fantasy (“Oz the Great and Powerful”) and sci-fi (“The Book of Eli,” “Jupiter Ascending”).
Think you know everything about Mila Kunis’s career? But did you know that the actress, now 42, made her cinema debut nearly three decades ago, acting opposite the late wrestler Hulk Hogan? It was indeed in 1996, in a lesser-known family comedy titled “Santa with Muscles.”
Released in theaters in 1996, the comedy “Santa with Muscles,” also known as “Mr. Santa” in some versions, immerses viewers in a small Californian town plagued by violence. One day, a mysterious man (Hogan) arrives, claiming to be… Santa Claus! This unusual muscle-bound Santa (actually an amnesiac millionaire), who finds himself needing to save an orphanage, encounters numerous children along his journey. Among them is a young thirteen-year-old Mila Kunis, in her very first big-screen role, previously having appeared in the series “Baywatch.”
In a 2011 interview with GQ, Mila Kunis briefly reflected on her experience working alongside the legendary Hulk Hogan. “I was too young to fully realize the significance of working with him,” she said. “I just saw him as a huge man.” Interestingly, a year after working with the towering Hulk Hogan, Kunis would act opposite the diminutive Rick Moranis in “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves!”
