Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger Star in Epic Adventure Films!

Action cinema legends Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger teamed up for a feature film that hit theaters in 2004.

It was a remarkable pairing of two titans of the action genre, yet it has almost slipped into obscurity! Who could have predicted that Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger would one day co-star in the same movie? The unexpected project materialized in 2004 with the adaptation of the novel “Around the World in 80 Days.”

In this Hollywood blockbuster loosely based on Jules Verne’s book, Jackie Chan plays Passepartout, the valet to the brilliant inventor Phileas Fogg, portrayed by Steve Coogan. The cast also includes Cécile de France as Monique de Roche and features Michaël Youn and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Prince Hapi.

Fifteen Years Later, They Starred in Another Adventure Film!

This role was the last one the former bodybuilder took on before his tenure as Governor of California from 2003 to 2011. However, it was merely a brief, cameo appearance in a single scene.

This cameo could have easily gone unnoticed if it hadn’t brought these two cinema legends together on screen—although it’s worth noting that they never appear together in the same scene, suggesting that their parts were filmed separately.

About fifteen years later, the paths of Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger crossed once again. The two superstars headlined another adventure movie titled “The Mystery of the Dragon Seal,” a Sino-Russian co-production that was only released on DVD and VOD in France.

The movie “Around the World in 80 Days” featuring Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the same scene will be leaving Netflix’s catalog starting June 15.
