Catch a glimpse of “Love is Overrated,” a romantic comedy both written and directed by Mourad Winter, based on his book of the same title.
Starring Hakim Jemili (The Backpacker), Laura Felpin (Pretty, Pretty, Brief 2), and Benjamin Tranié (We the Leroys, Flip Flops at the Foot of the Himalayas), these actors take on the film’s lead roles.
What’s “Love is Overrated” about? It tells the story of Anis who has been labeled as “hopeless with girls” since his youth, living a life marked by unremarkable romantic encounters. Exactly three years after the loss of Isma, his best friend and mentor, Anis gathers his courage and decides to venture out to meet new people. However, when he approaches Madeleine, he’s unaware that he’s about to embark on a significant journey. Something unexpected. Something called “love.”
The film received accolades at the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Festival held last January. It will hit screens across France on April 23, 2025.

A writer of his times, he has managed to attract a wide readership with his candid spoken-word style, sharp humor that spares no community, and an ability to hit home with the authenticity of his sincere expressions.
“Love is Overrated” will be coming to cinemas on April 23 next year.
