A new boxing film produced by Sylvester Stallone is set to hit the screens soon! The first glimpses of “Giant,” as the film is titled, have just been released!

Stallone, the iconic actor behind Rocky Balboa, is producing this sports drama which is centered on the life of British-Yemeni boxer Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed, portrayed by Amir El-Masry (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Mystery in Venice).

As revealed in the trailer, the film narrates his rapid rise to a world title.

Pierce Brosnan takes on one of the main roles, playing his Irish boxing coach, Brendan Ingle. The feature film will thus trace the life of the now 50-year-old boxer, from his challenging beginnings in the working-class neighborhoods of Sheffield to his world featherweight championship title. He became famous for his unique fighting style, his arrogance, numerous knockout victories, and his spectacular ring entrances.

The film, written and directed by Rowan Athale (The Rise), which is currently being shot in Leeds, England, has also released its first image (via Variety): it features a transformed Pierce Brosnan alongside Amir El-Masry, both embodying their respective characters.

According to Deadline, the film is expected to premiere in the first half of 2026 in the United States. There is no French release date at the moment.
