Ultimate Comedy Quiz: 9 Must-Try Questions for Movie Fans!

On June 14, 1995, “Dumb and Dumber” was released in France. To celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary, we have prepared a quiz with nine questions about the various adventures of the two least savvy friends in cinema!

Thirty years ago today, the Farrelly brothers released their very first film in France, a pair of directors destined for a bright future in the comedy genre, who would later go on to create many popular successes including “There’s Something About Mary” and “Me, Myself & Irene.”

“Dumb and Dumber” tells the story of two friends who set off in search of a woman who seems to have forgotten her suitcase at the airport, only to find themselves at the center of a kidnapping plot and ransom story.

Do you still remember the cult classic starring Jim Carrey (who we’ve previously featured in a quiz) and Jeff Daniels? Let’s find out with these nine quiz questions. But before you start, here are some behind-the-scenes secrets from the film released on June 14, 1995.

DID YOU KNOW?

Farrelly / Carrey: A First!

“Dumb and Dumber” marks the first wild collaboration between Bobby and Peter Farrelly and actor Jim Carrey. The trio would reunite six years later for the equally crazy “Me, Myself & Irene,” in which Carrey plays a schizophrenic police officer.

Romance on Set

“Dumb and Dumber” was not only a great public success for Jim Carrey. He also found love on set. Lauren Holly, the film’s leading lady, would indeed become his partner off-screen.

An Animated Version

Following the success of “Dumb and Dumber,” Bobby and Peter Farrelly were approached by television productions. The filmmakers served as consultants on the animated version of their comedy, a cartoon that aired during the 1995-1996 season and was broadcast in France on the cable channel Cartoon Network.
