Amidst Johanna’s pregnancy and his own legal troubles, Ludo is facing tumultuous times in “Un si grand soleil.” Folco Marchi, who plays Ludo, recently spoke to Allociné about the complex storyline filled with twists and turns.
In recent weeks, Ludo (Folco Marchi) has been going through a rough patch in “Un si grand soleil.” Between Johanna’s pregnancy and being charged with assaulting attorney Levars, the young man finds himself more embroiled in chaos than ever. What does the future hold for Ludo in the upcoming episodes of this daily drama on France 3?
During a recent visit to the studios of “Un si grand soleil,” Folco Marchi, the actor behind Ludo, shared insights with Allociné about this intriguing plot that promises more surprises ahead.
Allociné: How do you feel about Ludo’s development since you joined “Un si grand soleil”?
Folco Marchi: One thing I really enjoy about being part of this show is getting to read the scripts, see where the writers are taking the story, and evolve the character alongside them. I’m really liking the direction Ludo is taking. Although he might occasionally be a bit annoying, I try to make him as human and relatable as possible.
No matter what happens, Ludo always stays true to his principles and is a staunch environmentalist. Do you appreciate this trait in your character?
I embrace his extreme side because it allows me to push boundaries and lean into comedy. Plus, I love nature, so it feels good to portray that. And shooting scenes at the farm is always a nice break in the day.
Ludo and Johanna (Aurore Delplace) recently gave into their feelings. Were you surprised that your characters ended up back in each other’s arms when you read the script?
It was predictable considering Montpellier is such a small city. I see a lot of people getting back with their exes or having flings. However, I didn’t expect that Ludo could falter like that. I think he regrets it somewhat.
Is Ludo still in love with Johanna?
I’ve wondered that myself (laughs). I think he still has a soft spot for her. There’s always going to be something special about the people we have feelings for. This relationship rekindled at a time when both of them were feeling a bit lost. In the end, Ludo is always searching for love.
To keep Ludo out of jail, Johanna will eventually tell the truth to Yann (Constantin Balsan). Can we expect a confrontation between Yann and Ludo?
Definitely! It’s going to be intense and very physical, especially from Yann’s side.
Unfortunately, Johanna will have a car accident and lose the baby. How will Ludo react?
He’s going to take it hard. Initially, it will hit him like a bombshell. He’ll handle it better than before, but it will take him some time to fully process it.
What’s in store for Ludo in the coming weeks?
He’s swearing off women. He makes a promise to himself to resist any new romantic temptations, which almost becomes an obsession. So much so, he’ll seek therapy to try to manage it. Meanwhile, the storyline will explore a deepening friendship with the character Flore (Emmanuelle Bouaziz).
Do you have any other projects outside of the series you can talk about?
I really want to get back into directing. I’m returning to writing for a film to rediscover my identity in directing.
