At 83, Robert De Niro shows no signs of slowing down. He remains a prominent presence on screen and continues to pack his schedule with back-to-back projects. He is currently part of the cast of “The Whisper Man,” a Netflix thriller alongside Adam Scott, and he remains as busy as ever.

Robert De Niro Maintains a Strict Health Regimen

According to a Spanish media source, Robert De Niro starts his day very early, around 5 to 6 AM—a routine he has kept from his days of early morning film shoots where he would arrive before dawn for makeup. He wakes at this hour every day, regardless of whether it’s a weekday or weekend.

Upon rising, De Niro opts for a classic and balanced breakfast: coffee and orange juice, eggs, and whole-grain toast, followed by a workout session. He exercises his cardio and muscles with his personal trainer, James Brady, three to six times a week. The aim? To stay fit and keep up with the demanding schedule of his upcoming projects.

The Actor Has No Plans to Retire

At 83, the actor, famous for his iconic lines, is far from quitting. He currently stars in “The Whisper Man” by James Ashcroft, playing a father worn out by a life of investigations and horrors, and estranged from his son, Tom, portrayed by Adam Scott.

In November 2026, De Niro will again meet audiences with “My Father-In-Law, My Daughter-In-Law, and Me,” the fourth film in the beloved, funny, and quirky series. He will once again share the screen with Ben Stiller (who has been his son-in-law for 26 years), Teri Polo (his daughter), Blythe Danner (his wife), and Owen Wilson (his former son-in-law).

New faces well-known to the public will join the comedic saga, such as Skyler Gisondo (Henry Focker, the son of Greg and Pam), Beanie Feldstein (the daughter), and Ariana Grande (Henry’s future wife). And that’s not all, as Robert De Niro will soon star alongside Jenna Ortega in “Shutout.” His filmography, which began in 1969, continues to grow rapidly!
