Can You Identify These 7 Iconic Movie Posters? Take the Quiz!

Tonight on France 5, “The Untouchables” features a star-studded cast including Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, and Robert De Niro, the latter of whom we celebrate with a quiz exploring some of the most iconic posters from his filmography.

At 81, Robert De Niro continues to be a prominent figure in cinema, adding eight new feature films to his repertoire in the last five years.

Among these, a notable highlight was his reunion with his favorite director, Martin Scorsese, in “Killers of the Flower Moon.” This film marked an iconic collaboration between De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, another leading actor in Scorsese’s body of work.

In his most recent movie, “The Alto Knights” directed by Barry Levinson, audiences enjoyed not one but two performances from De Niro, who played the roles of gangsters Vito Genovese and Frank Costello.

This evening, you can catch De Niro portraying another famous gangster, Al Capone, in Brian De Palma’s “The Untouchables.” This offers a perfect opportunity for a new quiz dedicated to this Hollywood legend, this time focusing on his movie posters. Before we dive into the quiz, let’s share some behind-the-scenes secrets about “The Untouchables.”

DID YOU KNOW?

An Oscar for Sean Connery

Sean Connery won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and received his only Oscar (and nomination) for his role as the Irish cop Jim Malone in his extensive career!

De Niro Replaces Bob Hoskins

Brian De Palma, who had previously cast Robert De Niro in his first three major roles with “Greetings” (1968), “The Wedding Party” (1969), and “Hi, Mom!” (1970), chose him again for the role of Al Capone. Initially fearing that De Niro might not be available due to his consideration for “Ironweed” (a role ultimately played by Jack Nicholson), the filmmaker had hired Bob Hoskins (the producers’ preference) to portray Al Capone. When De Niro agreed and transformed into Public Enemy No. 1, the producers supported De Palma’s choice. Nevertheless, Bob Hoskins was compensated with a $200,000 payout.
