Ace This Movie Quiz: Scoring 15/15 is Seriously Impressive!

At the end of November, we offered a quiz on the first two Men in Black films. The concept was simple: you had to guess from which film, the first or the second, the fifteen images in the quiz were taken.

Tonight, TFX is airing the next two films, Men in Black 3, released in 2012 featuring the return of the duo Will Smith / Tommy Lee Jones, enhanced by Josh Brolin as a young Agent K, followed by the reboot Men in Black International (2019) introducing two new leading agents, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.

The quiz format remains unchanged. Your task is to determine which film these fifteen images are from. Despite the seven years separating the two films, achieving a perfect score will not be an easy task! Before you dive in, here are a few behind-the-scenes secrets about Men in Black 3.

Retro Aliens!

For the design of the 1960s aliens in this third installment, expert Rick Baker drew inspiration from the stereotypes of early science fiction films like Forbidden Planet (1957) and The Time Machine (1960). In the vein of the creatures from Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks!, he aimed for a retro-futuristic feel, both whimsical and striking.

Custom-made

Mary E. Vogt, the costume designer who was in charge of the first two films, returned for this third chapter. The creator of the iconic black suits had to make nearly 50 of them just for Will Smith and Josh Brolin! Each suit was unique, tailored for specific scenes (stunts, close-ups, running, etc.).

A Mechanical Marvel

The terrifying motorcycle of Boris, part mechanical, part organic, is nearly 10 feet long and weighs 800 pounds. Despite its unique design, it can reach speeds up to 100 mph.
