When you think of the TV show “Friends”, the first images that likely spring to mind are the iconic Central Perk couch or the fountain in the opening credits with The Rembrandts’ song “I’ll Be There For You” playing in the background.

However, “Friends” is fundamentally about a group of six friends—three women and three men—who were a part of our lives throughout the 90s for ten years. Among them is Ross Geller, played by David Schwimmer, who is the focal point of today’s quiz.

Ross was born in the late 1960s into a Jewish family and had a somewhat privileged childhood compared to his younger sister Monica (who has had her own quiz), with whom he has a loving but often contentious relationship. From an early age, he developed a fascination with dinosaurs, which led him to study paleontology as an adult and eventually work at the New York Museum of Natural History before becoming a university professor.
