MUST-SEES
The Drop: A Snowfall Saga – Available now
Set in early-1990s Los Angeles, this story follows a recovering addict rebuilding her life while trying to elevate West Coast rap into the spotlight. As gang conflicts intensify and major record labels look to capitalize on hip-hop’s rise, she fights to carve out her place in a city undergoing seismic cultural shifts.
Arriving on Disney+ three years after Snowfall wrapped — the series that propelled Damson Idris to stardom — The Drop centers on familiar faces like Wanda (Gail Bean) and Leon (Isaiah John). The spin-off immerses viewers in a tense, emotionally charged world where danger and high stakes are constant companions.
Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger – Available October 9
Experience the near-real-time reunion of the iconic band Oasis. As the much-anticipated Live ’25 tour marks one of rock’s biggest comebacks, the documentary Don’t Look Back in Anger — produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight — captures the scale of the event, the band’s emotions, and fans’ reactions around the globe.
From backstage access to rehearsal footage, the film digs into every facet of the tour and, for the first time in over 25 years, features exclusive interviews with brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. It’s an intimate, immersive portrait of a major musical moment in 2025.
VisionQuest – Starts October 14
After being resurrected in WandaVision, Vision is living off the grid, searching for purpose and identity. He leans on the AI personalities built into his system to make sense of himself. But his quiet existence is upended when a bounty is placed on him, forcing him to flee alongside Thomas Shepard, a mysterious young boy who may be the reincarnation of his son. To survive, Vision must confront his true nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the mystery surrounding the boy at his side.
This new Marvel Studios series is the third chapter in a trilogy that includes WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Paul Bettany returns to the role of Vision for an eight-episode season, released weekly on Wednesdays. James Spader also reprises his role as the menacing Ultron, once again haunting Vision, his so-called “spiritual progeny.” Expect an emotional, colorful show that doubles as a compelling exploration of consciousness and likely hides a few revelations — especially with Avengers: Doomsday due in theaters on December 16.
HIGHLIGHTS
Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed – Available now
Celebrate Halloween with Scooby-Doo and the gang in two fan-favorite early-2000s films. In the first movie, Scooby, Shaggy (Matthew Lillard), Velma (Linda Cardellini), Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr.) find themselves on Spooky Island following a string of supernatural incidents at a Spring Break amusement park. In the sequel, the team hunts a masked villain terrorizing Coolsville.
Blending comedy with mystery, these films invite you to join the beloved mystery-solvers on their chaotic adventures. They’re perfect for a nostalgic movie night with family or friends, bringing the spirit of the classic cartoons to life.
Witches Academy – Available now
Follow three young witches and their classmates at an elite magic boarding school where influence is currency, secrets are deadly, and desire can be a liability. Caught between ancient supernatural conflicts and forbidden romances, the students of Coven Academy must decide how far they’ll go to protect their city — and themselves.
This Disney+ original is ideal for the fall season. As protagonist Briar (Malina Weissman) discovers and hones her powers, rivalries flare and romance blooms, all while ancient, dangerous forces threaten the institution’s survival. Season 1 is now streaming in full, offering a mix of adventure and mystical characters.
Cat’s Eyes – Available October 12
In Paris, sisters Alexia (Claire Romain), Tam (Camille Lou), and Sylia (Constance Labbé) reunite after years apart. Around the same time, a piece that once belonged to their father — who vanished a decade earlier — resurfaces at a prestigious exhibition at the Eiffel Tower. The sisters decide to take a daring risk to steal the artwork, hoping it will reveal what happened to him.
Their heist quickly draws the attention of Quentin Chapuis (Mohamed “MB14” Belkhir), captain of the BRB, who vows to catch the elusive thieves. He doesn’t realize, however, that one of them might be the love of his life. Originally a TF1+ hit, Cat’s Eyes reaches Disney+ this month thanks to a landmark partnership between the two platforms. Expect spectacular break-ins, high-speed chases, and clever traps in this modern French take on the cult manga, anchored by a strong cast including Camille Lou, Elodie Fontan, and MB14, plus a potent mix of family drama and impossible romance.
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – Final episode on October 26
Ichigo Kurosaki is no ordinary high schooler. Gifted with the ability to see spirits, he becomes a Soul Reaper to protect his loved ones and cleanse wandering souls. In this series adaptation of the final arc of the original manga, Ichigo and his allies confront the Quincy — humans with spiritual powers intent on destroying the Soul Society. The concluding episode of this saga, which began airing in 2022 and follows the long-running anime that started in 2004, will drop on Disney+ on October 26.
More than 20 years after the anime first debuted, BLEACH reaches its climax on October 26 with a final installment fans have been waiting for. Longtime followers of Tite Kubo’s manga will see their favorite characters for one last confrontation against the fearsome Yhwach, with the fate of the Three Realms hanging in the balance. The finale is expected to deliver major revelations, and manga readers are anticipating announcements about possible future returns.
These movies and series are available on Disney+ in October.
