Colin Farrell highly recommends this Christopher Nolan film, which has an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 from AlloCiné viewers.
Which Christopher Nolan film does Colin Farrell consider the best? The Irish actor was asked this by the media outlet Collider, and after careful consideration, he answered:
“Everything Came Together Perfectly”
“I thought Oppenheimer was just perfect. I found that everything Chris Nolan and his team had explored creatively and intellectually beforehand, the sound design, the visual aspect of the film, the acting, and the script, everything came together perfectly. It’s like watching Star Wars, when the crosshairs align: that was exactly it, Oppenheimer. Everything came together perfectly.”
The actor quickly added other titles:
“But I really enjoyed The Prestige. That’s the one I always come back to, I love it. Or The Dark Knight.”
Oppenheimer tells the story of the creation of the first atomic bomb, led by J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) and the U.S. government. This ambitious film was also a huge box office success ($975.8 million), despite its potentially austere subject matter, which could have been off-putting to the general public.
Farrell and Great Directors
Despite a filmography that shows a commitment to working with renowned directors, Colin Farrell has never worked with Chris Nolan. However, he has previously praised the filmmaker for his Batman trilogy. On the other hand, Steven Spielberg, Terrence Malick, Joel Schumacher, Oliver Stone, Michael Mann, Terry Gilliam, Peter Weir, Yorgos Lanthimos, Tim Burton, Matt Reeves, Guy Ritchie, and Ron Howard are among the prestigious directors with whom the actor has collaborated. Notably, during his work with Spielberg, one day of filming Minority Report sadly remains memorable…
Farrell is currently promoting the series Sugar, available on AppleTV+, and will soon be filming The Batman 2 by Matt Reeves, in which he reprises his role as Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, a role he already held in The Batman and the series The Penguin.
