Following Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan is the latest addition to the cast of Matt Reeves’ highly anticipated “The Batman: Part II.” But what role will he play?
Having portrayed Bucky in the Marvel Cinematic Universe across several movies, Sebastian Stan is now switching allegiances. The Oscar-nominated actor for his role in The Apprentice is joining the DC Universe in the eagerly awaited sequel, The Batman: Part II, directed by Matt Reeves.
… as Two-Face?
The specific character Stan will embody remains under wraps. It’s unclear whether he will be a foe or an ally of Bruce Wayne, but there are swirling rumors about the potential appearance of Two-Face.
This news follows the announcement a few weeks ago that Scarlett Johansson, another Marvel Cinematic Universe star, would play a significant role in the new film.
The Joker Returns
In other significant news, Barry Keoghan—who made a brief appearance in the first installment of The Batman—is set to return, reprising his role as the Joker. Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, and Andy Serkis are also confirmed to return.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel. Initially delayed, the film is now scheduled to premiere in theaters in France on September 29, 2027. According to Variety, filming is scheduled for next spring.
As a reminder, The Batman garnered over a billion dollars worldwide during its theatrical release in 2022.
