Pierre Lottin stars in the key role of “Le petit boucher,” a family chronicle directed by Jean-Luc Gaget, which has recently wrapped up filming in Brittany and Paris.

Pierre Lottin is diving into the ’70s! Before starting on the highly anticipated Louis de Funès biopic where he will portray the legendary actor, Lottin is shooting “Le Petit Boucher”!

As he shared on Instagram with a photo, the film recounts, “the life of a butcher shop in the ’70s, but the son sees it differently. The phrase doesn’t exist, of course. Really excited to show you this poetry.

He also notes, clearly thrilled about the experience: “Amazing film to work on, both in front of and behind the camera of Jean-Luc Gaget, with Mathilde Cathelin as director of photography. Long live the Louchebem!

The film was shot throughout June in Saint-Brieuc and Paris. This family comedy follows Baptiste, a butcher’s son who dreams of a different future than the one his father envisions for him. “With humor, nostalgia, and a breeze of rebellion, the film tells the joyful revolution of a family that breaks apart to reinvent itself better,” according to Cinéma Bretagne.

Joining Pierre Lottin in the cast are India Hair, Niels Hamel-Brochen, Maud Wyler, Valentine Billioud, Jean-Noël Brouté, and Quentin Dolmaire.

“Le petit boucher” is Jean-Luc Gaget’s third feature film following “J’ai tué Clémence Acéra” (2001) and “Une fille en or” (2026).
