Akim is Sent to Jail

Since the tragic incident that took Thierry’s life, Margot is overwhelmed with guilt. She believes that if she had broken up with him in person instead of over the phone, things might have unfolded differently. Despite Cécile’s attempts to reassure her that she’s not to blame, Margot breaks down in tears.

At the police station, Manu is questioning Akim when his lawyer arrives, insisting on a private conversation with his client. Lawyer Bauchère believes he can argue extenuating circumstances, noting Thierry’s known racist prejudices. He hopes to gather supportive testimony from colleagues to bolster this defense. Akim points out that Thierry followed procedure and that it was he, Akim, who failed to comply. He admits that any other officer would have reacted similarly under the circumstances and fears what might have happened had he not made the arrest that day. Nevertheless, Lawyer Bauchère presses on, emphasizing the necessity of this line of defense to sway the judge.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Becker informs Prosecutor Picard that Akim will be detained and held in custody. While the prosecutor laments the loss of one of his men, he fears the media frenzy even more—a police officer killing another is never good for public relations. He hopes to mitigate the fallout.

Elsewhere, officers post Thierry’s obituary at the station. Shocked and somber, Manu, Hugo, Yann, and Alex struggle to accept that their colleague is gone. Though Thierry wasn’t the easiest person to get along with, they all agree he will be deeply missed.

Thaïs tells Commissioner Becker she doesn’t plan to return to her job, believing she failed to protect Thierry. Becker, understanding yet reassuring, insists she did everything she could and praises her as an excellent officer. He advises her to consult with the psychological support unit before making any final decisions.

In the meantime, Judge Laplace informs Akim that he’s been dismissed from his duties. As Lawyer Bauchère begins to defend him, Akim interrupts, accepting full responsibility for killing a man. Consequently, Akim is sent to prison…

Upon arriving in his cell, Akim meets his cellmate, Liam, Thaïs’s ex-boyfriend. When Liam inquires about his presence, Akim reveals he killed a cop.

The following day, Lawyer Bauchère expresses his concerns to Bilal about Akim’s lack of fight. Now that he is an officer behind bars, his imprisonment will be particularly challenging, and he’ll need all the support he can get. The lawyer has arranged for a visitation with Bilal, hoping it will motivate Akim to fight.

Meanwhile, Thaïs confides in Louis that she’s unsure about attending Thierry’s funeral, feeling responsible for his death and dreading the judgment of her colleagues. Louis reminds her that she’s blameless and encourages her to accept that there was nothing more she could do, but his words fall on deaf ears.

Nearby, Marc questions Prosecutor Picard about Thierry’s death, probing whether it was related to an ongoing feud between traffickers. The prosecutor maintains it was a personal matter that tragically escalated. Despite the journalist’s attempts to learn more, the prosecutor ends their conversation.

At day’s end, Bilal meets Margot on the beach. Aware of her difficult circumstances, he shares his concerns about Akim. When she asks how he’s doing, Bilal explains that Akim is devastated. Moved, Margot asks him to convey her apologies and worries for him. Bilal reassures her that Akim is not alone and that he won’t abandon him.

Elise Reconsiders

Elodie and Elise spend the night together. Struggling since Thierry’s death, Elodie invites her to dinner at their shared accommodation to distract her, an invitation Elise accepts. However, Elise is mostly curious to meet the man they’ve found to replace her in the flat, a fact Elodie is yet unaware of since they haven’t met him yet. It seems Elise regrets not having moved to the farm.

Elsewhere, Flore and Ulysse are unpacking the last of their boxes. They wish Ludo could help, but he’s busy as his goat is about to give birth, and Charles is due to assist. When Ulysse expresses surprise that Ludo continues to work with Axelle’s new partner, the farmer assures him it’s all in the past.

Later, Flore and Ulysse discuss Ludo’s love life. While Flore is convinced their friend is in denial, Ulysse disagrees, suggesting Ludo is in love with her, not Axelle. Despite Flore dismissing the idea, Ulysse insists, “It’s obvious, you’re the only one who hasn’t noticed.

Thus, Flore begins to see Ludo in a new light. When he strips to his waist to unload hay bales, she is visibly disturbed.

At the end of the day, everyone gathers at the flat for dinner. During the meal, the police officer announces her desire to return to the flat, and Flore, Ulysse, Ludo, and Tiago happily welcome her back.

Johanna Returns to Montpellier

After a few days in Canada, Johanna returns to Montpellier to Yann’s delight. They embrace and kiss repeatedly, overjoyed to be reunited. However, their happiness is short-lived as Johanna’s phone rings—it’s Claudine.

Yann arrives at the police station in a bad mood, annoyed that his reunion with his wife was cut short. He wonders if Johanna will ever find time for their honeymoon. Despite Hugo’s attempts to reassure him, he remains unconvinced.

Meanwhile, Claudine praises Johanna for her work and hands her a new case file. Despite being overwhelmed, she accepts.

Soon after, Claudine receives a call from Corbère, still in prison, who pressures her to secure his release as soon as possible. Claudine promises to find a solution. She then meets with Margot to review Mr. Corbère’s file.

At the end of the day, Johanna tells Yann about the pressure Claudine is putting on her to take on more cases. The officer encourages her to consider taking a break and possibly a vacation. Although she can’t take time off just yet, she promises to go to Capri once her urgent cases are closed.
