Fans of Catherine and Liliane have long hoped for this. Alex Lutz and Bruno Sanches have made it happen. The hilariously quirky office colleagues are making a comeback, not on television but in cinemas in 2027. Alex Lutz directs “A Journey,” his third feature film as a director, dedicated entirely to the duo that originated on CANAL+ in 2012.

The filming of this movie, whose plot details are still under wraps, took place throughout much of the summer in the South of France, particularly in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

Laurent Lafitte Returns

Some casting details have been disclosed. Laurent Lafitte is confirmed to appear in the film. The actor previously featured in the short programs on CANAL+ as Marina, Catherine’s raspy-voiced close friend who is not fond of Liliane.

Vassili Schneider (The Count of Monte Cristo), Gioia Farisano (The Youngest, the B.R.I. series), and Tom Dingler—who co-wrote and directed the short programs—are also included in the film’s cast.

“A Journey” is produced by Grands Ducs Films, a production company founded by Alex Lutz in July 2025. The actor and director has directed five fiction films so far, including “Guy,” which earned him the César Award for Best Actor.
