Are Lionel and Emi the Next Big Couple in ‘Ici Tout Commence’?

In “Ici tout commence” on TF1, is there something more than friendship brewing between Lionel and Emi? In the episode airing on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Mehdi (Marvin Pellegrino) watches the pair closely and believes he’s witnessing some serious flirting! Could these colleagues become a couple?

Mehdi Adds His Two Cents

In this installment of the series (airing Monday through Friday at 6:35 PM on TF1), the characters played by Lucien Belvès and Loryn Nounay find themselves in a competition! Mehdi is tasked with creating a concept involving citrus fruits, but his ideas don’t impress Enzo (Dembo Camilo) and Rose (Vanessa Demouy). They suggest he ask Lionel and Emi for help.

Both happily take on the challenge, even sparring with each other along the way. To celebrate the victory, the loser will treat the winner to a drink. Mehdi is initially reluctant to involve them, especially when he tastes their creations, which turn out to be disappointing. Moreover, the interactions between Lionel and Emi already show great chemistry, making Mehdi feel somewhat superfluous.

Later discussing this with his friend, Mehdi admits he finds it amusing to see Lionel flirt with Emi, but it distracts him from his tasks. Lionel is taken aback… He assures Hortense’s husband (Catherine Davydzenka) that they are just friends. However, after this observation, Lionel starts to see the situation from a different angle. What if he likes Emi more than he realized?

“We Don’t Want to Leave Lionel Single”

In upcoming episodes of “Ici tout commence” (where Marc harshly criticizes Cléo!), Lionel will ponder the true nature of his relationship with Emi. Are they deceiving themselves about their real feelings? Is she ready to commit again after her disastrous romance with Romain Valdine?

In late 2024, AlloCiné had a chance to speak with Eglantine Sofianos, the producer of “Ici tout commence.” She shared the writers’ plans for Lionel’s future, post-Kelly (Axelle Dodier):

“We don’t want to leave Lionel single all season. That said, we like having moments where our characters are single because it allows us to create new love stories… We are taking our time to think of the right story for Lionel. But yes, he is going to experience a new love story.“
