Can You Name the City From These 8 Famous Movies? Take the Quiz!

On May 9th, Europe Day, we take you on a tour of famous landmarks that have featured in movie scenes. Will you earn the Perfect visa?

Just over two years ago, we had offered you a quiz that took you around the globe, visiting some of the world’s most famous monuments that appeared in film scenes, challenging you to guess the movie titles, of course.

From New York to Petra

The journey began in the United States with an image of the Statue of Liberty, a monument that has appeared in countless films. A red laser beam in the image, belonging to Cyclops, was your clue to pinpoint the correct movie, the very first installment of the X-Men franchise.

Another question took us to the iconic site of Petra in Jordan, chosen by Steven Spielberg for the climactic scene of one of his Indiana Jones films. Which one, you might ask? Half of you correctly ticked the third installment, The Last Crusade, featuring the final three challenges for Indy and the crucial choice of the Holy Grail.

We then returned to the United States for a scene that can safely be described as iconic, where Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint found themselves in a precarious position on the slopes of Mount Rushmore. This monument, one of the most famous in the USA, features the carved faces of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Among the options were three films by Alfred Hitchcock, and 65% of you correctly chose North by Northwest.

In honor of Europe Day, which was yesterday, we are limiting ourselves to our continent for a new journey visiting eight monuments and eight films. But which ones?
