Jack Quaid, the actor behind the beloved Hughie, teases the madness of the upcoming fifth season of “The Boys,” promising a wild finale to an already outrageous series!
Jack Quaid has shared his thoughts on the fifth and final season of The Boys, the hit superhero series on Prime Video. Since 2019, Quaid has portrayed Hughie Campbell, who became an official member of a ragtag team aimed at tackling the injustices caused by the superheroes in their universe.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jack Quaid expressed his feelings about the series wrapping up, stating his joy that they could conclude the story on their own terms. He also hinted at what fans can expect from the “insane” final season.
“I think it’s good that we’re ending with season 5 because it’s on our own terms. It’s not like we were cancelled and had to rush to create a season that feels final,” Quaid commented. “The showrunner’s plan was always to end after five seasons, and I’ve known that for a while but tried to keep it under wraps [laughs]. There’s something great about a deliberate ending, and season 5 of The Boys is going to be crazy. It’s going to be intense. I keep thinking a lot of us are probably going to die. It’s just going to be wild, and I’m really looking forward to what that entails.”
The Boys was created and produced by Supernatural’s Eric Kripke, based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The show currently stars Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Cameron Crovetti, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Valorie Curry, Susan Heyward, and many others.
The fifth season, expected to premiere in 2026, follows four previous seasons available exclusively on Prime Video.
