This Saturday night, NRJ12 kicks off the airing of the seventh and final season of “Young Sheldon,” the spin-off of “The Big Bang Theory.” Here’s what to expect in this upcoming batch of episodes.
The time to bid farewell is fast approaching for fans of Young Sheldon. After airing the brand-new sixth season of the sitcom for several weeks, NRJ12 will start showing the 14 episodes of the seventh and final season of the spin-off from “The Big Bang Theory” starting this Saturday, October 12.
The journey of Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage), a young prodigy with an unparalleled knack for science and mathematics, is soon coming to an end with a seventh season that promises plenty of twists and turns.
A Wedding on the Horizon
Indeed, the final season of Young Sheldon will feature the much-anticipated wedding between Mandy (Emily Osment) and Georgie (Montana Jordan). Recall that back in season one, George Sr. had made a bet with his son that he would be married before turning 25.
After agreeing, the narrator in a voice-over mentioned that the young man got married to his first wife at the age of 19, and in the finale of the previous season, Mandy proposed to Georgie, who was then 18 years old.
Unfortunately, we already know there won’t be a happy ending for the couple, as it was revealed in “The Big Bang Theory” that Georgie had been married and divorced twice before 2019. Their marriage will also be the focus of the new spin-off series, “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” which will start airing on October 17 on CBS.
The Death of George
This is the moment all fans of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon” have been dreading… Sheldon will turn 14 in season 7, the age at which, according to the previously established timeline, the future Nobel laureate moves from Medford to Pasadena to begin his higher education at the California Institute of Technology.
That same year, his father George (Lance Barber) passes away. His death and particularly his funeral will be addressed in the season 7 double-episode finale of “Young Sheldon.” Get your tissues ready…
