The NCIS franchise has a bright future ahead! The American network CBS has just announced the renewal of the original series, as well as its two spin-offs for additional seasons.

NCIS Returns for Season 23

NCIS is indeed set to return for a 23rd season. This is great news for the crime series which continues to draw a loyal audience year after year. NCIS: Sydney, the first international spin-off of NCIS that launched in November 2023 on Paramount+ and CBS, will also be back for a third season.

And as good news never comes alone, CBS has also renewed NCIS: Origins for a second season. Fans of the franchise will thus have the opportunity to continue discovering the origins of the iconic Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

5 Other Series Renewed

In addition to these announcements, CBS has also renewed a number of its series. The sitcom Ghosts, whose French version is set to arrive next April on Disney+, has secured two more seasons, ensuring its presence on air until Season 6.

Tracker, the crime series whose first episode was watched by over 30 million people, will return for a third season. The spin-off from Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, which is the most-watched sitcom on the network, has been renewed for a second season while Elsbeth and Fire Country will respectively return for a third and fourth season.

A Plethora of Spin-offs

This renewal wave is all the more surprising as CBS has ordered numerous spin-offs of its flagship series for the next season.
