The cast of “Yellowstone” has shared behind-the-scenes insights from the filming of Season 5b of Yellowstone, which will premiere on November 10 on Paramount+.
Ever since it was confirmed that Kevin Costner would not appear in future episodes of Yellowstone, fans have been speculating about how John Dutton’s character will be written out of the Western drama.
Although initially declared as the final season, Season 5 might be followed by a sixth, as negotiations with key cast members are currently underway.
Even Yellowstone’s Actors Are in the Dark About Season 5!
It’s not just the fans who are left guessing. In a behind-the-scenes video released by Paramount, the main actors of Yellowstone admitted they have no clue about the direction of Season 5’s plot. This is because the scripts sent to each actor were censored by the production team!
Speaking of the “censored” scripts, actress Jennifer Landon (who plays ranch hand Teeter) disclosed that “everything was redacted except for our own lines.” This measure was taken to prevent leaks, but it also prevented the cast from understanding the overall storyline of the season’s conclusion.
The Production Team Is Determined to Prevent Leaks!
“I don’t know what scenes that actress filmed, and she doesn’t know what I’m filming. And we weren’t allowed to discuss it,” confirmed Dawn Olivieri, who portrays Sarah Atwood. This is the first time the production has used such a tactic to safeguard its plot and ensure that leaks do not spoil the experience for fans.
The number of episodes in Season 5b has not been announced; the first part, which aired in November 2022, consisted of eight episodes. While a Season 6 is under consideration, it’s worth noting that several Yellowstone spin-offs are in the works.
A sequel, The Madison, has been confirmed, along with a spin-off set in Texas at the 6666 ranch. Additionally, two prequels have been announced: Season 2 of 1923 starring Harrison Ford, and an entirely new series set in 1944.
