New characters, a fresh storyline… The “Jurassic Park” series returns with “Jurassic World: Rebirth,” and the first look promises great excitement. Check out the trailer.
The age of dinosaurs continues. Three years following the previous installment, “The World After,” the Jurassic World franchise is back with “Rebirth,” featuring new additions Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. Long-time fans have reason to celebrate: the movie is penned by David Koepp, who wrote the first two episodes directed by Steven Spielberg.
The initial glimpses, released this Wednesday, February 5, showcase a chapter quite unlike its predecessors, fulfilling the screenwriter’s promise. Importantly, they shed light on the storyline. “These dinosaurs were too dangerous for the original park,” declares a character.

“Rebirth” takes place on a secluded island where all the scientific failures from the species created for the first movie’s park are kept. This setting subjects our heroes to a plethora of dangers. “The worst of the worst has been left here,” and the trailer delivers what audiences expect by revealing several already formidable monsters.
In a recent interview with TheWrap, screenwriter David Koepp revealed his three golden rules for this new installment. The first is to acknowledge the existence of the previous six episodes of the saga. The second is to refer to real scientific facts, and the third adheres to the mantra: “Humor is oxygen.”
Jurassic World Rebirth is expected in theaters on July 4th in France.
