On Friday, November 14th in Here Everything Begins…

Hector Demands Clotilde’s Dismissal

In a confrontation with Teyssier, Rose, and Joachim, Clotilde recounts the accident that cost Hector his leg: she was 17, unlicensed, but her father had bought her a car and insisted she try it. It began raining heavily and Clotilde couldn’t operate the windshield wipers. In a turn, she lost control and hit a cyclist, Hector.

Auguste insisted they not take him to the hospital. They went a few meters ahead to a phone booth to call for help. When Clotilde learned about Hector’s leg amputation, she wanted to come forward, but her father prevented her, forbidding her from seeing Hector again, promising he would ensure Hector had a good life. Clotilde complied but has always felt tremendous guilt.

Meanwhile, Andréa also shares her account to her family. The day after Hector’s amputation, Auguste offered Léon silence about the accident in exchange for the hotel he had just acquired. Andréa explains that they agreed to secure their future.

Distraught, Hector withdraws from the discussion. His mother catches up to him, but he resents her for lying to him all these years when he always wanted to know who had hit him. Andréa insists she made the best decision with her husband, claiming it was the only way for Hector to have a career.

On his part, Ismaël fails to understand his grandparents’ reaction too. Bianca, on the other hand, empathizes with Andréa and suggests to her boyfriend to stop fantasizing about the life his uncle could have had without the accident. Hurt by not feeling heard, Ismaël rejects his girlfriend.

Later, Teyssier and Rose visit the Jourdain hotel to offer their support to Jeanne. They also want to discuss the partnership, hoping it will still hold. Jeanne replies that it’s up to her brother to decide, but she thinks it’s unlikely.

In the kitchen, Leonard checks on Ismaël to see how he’s doing. Ismaël shares his distress, admitting he’s upset with his grandparents for lying to Hector for a deal with Auguste Armand. Leonard sympathizes with his situation, then stays to help him pack up the leftovers from their brunch to donate to a charity.

At the Institute, Clotilde can rely on Joachim’s unwavering support. He believes she just needs to give Hector some time to process the information and that he will eventually forgive her.

In the management office, Hector tells Teyssier that the partnership project will proceed only if Clotilde is fired from the school. However, Teyssier is not willing to accept such a condition and asks him to leave…

Is Tom Trying to Win Back Billie?

At the Workshop, Billie runs into Tom as she finishes a cooking session. The two exes express that they are glad to have remained on good terms. Tom even adds that he loves spending time with his ex and describes her as a ray of sunshine that brightens his days. Shortly after, Billie realizes that all her dishes have already been cleaned.

Later, in the Institute’s parking lot, Billie notices that her car has been washed. She suspects Tom is trying to win her back with these small gestures. However, she is clear about their relationship and has no intention of getting back together with him.

Back at the Workshop, Billie brings up the topic with Tom, who assures her that he feels the same way and is no longer romantically interested in her. At that moment, Julia brings Billie a bouquet of flowers delivered to her, signed by Ferdinand. Billie then realizes that he is the one behind all these small gestures and is trying to make amends.

Alice Does Not Want Children

At the farm, Gaëtan and Angèle try to feel out Alice’s stance on future motherhood, but they are too subtle and get no concrete response.

Later, Gaëtan takes the opportunity to bring up the topic again with Alice at the Institute. However, a misunderstanding arises as Alice thinks he wants her help with nutritional courses for pregnant women.

She later discusses this with Stanislas and Angèle. Another misunderstanding ensues. Stanislas eventually reveals to Alice that Gaëtan wants to discuss parenthood with her.

Alice meets Gaëtan at the Coffee Shop to discuss the matter and tells him that she never wanted to be a mother. For the young man, it’s a bitter pill to swallow.
