Caroline’s Anxiety about Returning to Lyon

After being away for several days, Pablo returns to high school, much to Noura’s delight.

Meanwhile, Judge Alphand meets with Étienne Jeanson in her office. Based on the evidence presented to her, Cécile charges him with the poisoning homicide of Martin Sérac, as well as attempted kidnapping and murder of Caroline Perez. Consequently, Étienne Jeanson is placed in pre-trial detention.

At the police station, Thierry attempts to apologize to Hugo, but his efforts are in vain. “If Pablo had been white with a clean record, would you have treated him the same way?“, the forensic doctor retorts before adding, “Next time you see me, just ignore me.“

During this time, Sabine confides in Eve about Hugo and Caroline getting closer. She admits, “I know it’s really ugly considering what they’ve been through, but I feel invisible next to Caroline, who seems like a superhero“. Simply put, Sabine is jealous. She also hopes that Caroline will soon return to Lyon as she’s tired of being sidelined.

Elsewhere, Alexis tells his mother that since the investigation began, all his friends have been giving him the cold shoulder. He also blames her for prioritizing her job over his well-being.

At the end of the day, Caroline and Pablo take a walk by the sea. While she is anxious about returning to Lyon, Caroline also fears feeling lonely without Martin. Pablo reminds her that Martin was a bad person who manipulated everyone and assures her that she is better off without him.

After nightfall, Caroline confesses to Hugo that she is beginning to realize her relationship with Martin was toxic. She stayed with him all those years because she felt incapable of living alone. Hugo is understanding and reassures her that she is a strong woman and is confident she will get through this. She then shares, “The more I think about it, the more I realize I need you both in my life.“

Elodie and Ludo Agree to Partner with Flore

Early in the morning, Ludo discusses Flore’s proposal with Pauline and Elodie. While Elodie thinks it’s a bad idea since she knows nothing about farming, Pauline believes that anything is possible with enough motivation.

Later, Ludo tells Flore they accept her proposal. Ludo plans to call Johanna later that day to formalize the young woman’s entry into the capital of the GAEC. Even though Flore acknowledges she has a lot to learn, she is eager and puts on a pair of gloves to help the farmers with their daily tasks. Unfortunately, Flore keeps making blunders.

In the meantime, Pauline suggests to Élodie that they dine out to celebrate the good news and to spend some quality time together. Predictably, Elodie declines.

She later joins her father and opens up about her relationship with Pauline. Although she is still in love with the young woman, something has unfortunately broken between them. Elodie is unsure if she will be able to move past it.

Meanwhile, Léo transfers 200 euros to Pauline’s account in an attempt to mend their situation. Pauline insists she doesn’t want his help before informing him that the farm is now out of jeopardy.

At the end of the day, Elodie, Bilal, and Elise spend the evening watching TV. The mood is cheerful, and Elodie finds herself smiling again.
