Pixar Unveils First Look at New Film: Dive Into a Beaver’s World, Avatar Style!

On March 4th, Pixar is set to take us into the animal kingdom with “Jumpers,” featuring a heroine who can transfer her consciousness into a beaver-shaped machine. The initial previews suggest a film as entertaining as its concept.

After transporting us into outer space with “Elio,” a tale of a dreamy boy catapulted to the edges of the galaxy by mistake as Earth’s ambassador, Pixar once again explores the collision of two worlds with its upcoming feature film: Jumpers, set to hit theaters on March 4, 2026.

At a time when Pixar appears to lean heavily on sequels, the launch of two original projects in succession is refreshing news. This film caught our eye last August when it was previewed at D23 (with only a piece of concept art) thanks to its irresistible pitch: we will follow a teenage animal lover, Mabel, who harnesses new technology to transfer her mind into the body of an incredibly realistic beaver-shaped robot.

An Avatar among beavers? It’s hard not to draw parallels to the plot or the images, and Jumpers does not shy away from referencing James Cameron’s blockbuster. Like Jake Sully on Pandora, we can expect Mabel to lead a revolution among her new bipedal and quadrupedal friends, even though she is forbidden from disrupting the natural order, albeit in a more comical and less technological setting than the Na’vi.

Just a Few More Days to Wait

With just a few days until its worldwide theater release, Pixar is teasing the first installment of its 2026 lineup, which will later include the return of the Toy Story saga on June 17. The sneak peek is compelling, suggesting that the film lives up to its zany premise and hinting at another potential gem from the iconic lamp studio, complete with flawless animation, situational humor, and a cast of characters that make us realize just how far away the release date still is.
