Anthony Bajon (notable for “Gourou” and “Au nom de la terre”) teams up with Benjamin Lavernhe (from the Comédie-Française) in the cast of “The Grand Awakening,” a French feature film that has just started shooting.
Anthony Bajon, recognized from several feature films in recent years, from “Chien de la casse” to “Gourou” (trailer above), including “Au nom de la terre” and “L’Amour ouf,” has begun shooting “The Grand Awakening.” He plays the leading role in this intriguing narrative.
Paul, a journalist, is assigned to investigate conspiracy environments. As he delves deeper, he uncovers a radicalized cell planning violent acts and faces both zealous activists and the movement’s most ominous figures. Paul earns their trust and infiltrates increasingly secretive circles, eventually finding himself trapped by his own undercover operation.
Benjamin Lavernhe Joins the Cast
Benjamin Lavernhe (of the Comédie-Française), Salomé Dewaels, Augustin Shackelpopoulos, Hugo Dillon, and Pauline Lorillard round out the cast.
“The Grand Awakening” is Louda Ben Salah-Cazanas’s second feature film following “The World After Us,” released in 2022.
The filming is currently taking place and will continue until November 3rd across the Hauts-de-France and Paris, as announced by its distributor, Tandem.
The release date has not yet been announced.
