Spoilers Alert! Un Si Grand Soleil: Full Recap of the Nov 29, 2024 Episode!

On Friday, November 29th in Un si grand soleil…

Catherine Hires Eliott

Eve and Manu are still outside the Montpellier prison. Before getting into the car, the French teacher wants to know if Manu holds any grudges against her. He assures her that he doesn’t. However, the policeman finds it hard to forgive Eliott. It’s clear that Manu doesn’t appreciate how Eliott continually gets himself into trouble and drags everyone else down with him.

The next day, Eve visits Eliott’s garage. Upon seeing her, Eliott rushes into her arms and then apologizes. Eve assures him that she made her decision fully aware of the risks involved. She then cups his face and tells him she will always be there for him. With a smile, she adds that what matters most is that they made it through.

When she asks how he’s doing, Eliott reveals that he has been living in his garage since breaking up with Muriel. Eve tries to lift his spirits and promises that things will eventually get better.

At the police station, Commissioner Becker praises Yann for the investigation. However, Yann is troubled because he feels there are still too many unanswered questions in the case. He continues to suspect that Eve was at the crime scene because her son owed money to Curtis. Nonetheless, Commissioner Becker points out that they have no evidence to prove it. He is certain that Eve was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and had nothing to do with the murder of Curtis.

Meanwhile, Catherine calls Eliott as she wants to enlist his services and negotiate a sort of priority deal for her deliveries. She offers him an additional 1000 euros per month on top of the delivery fees. Eliott agrees.

Later, Manu visits Yann to make amends. However, Lieutenant Cross responds sarcastically, doubting the story Manu presented to the commissioner. Manu retorts that they’ve put Curtis’s killer behind bars and the case is now closed.

At the end of the day, Eliott discusses Catherine Laumière’s proposal with Charles. While Eliott wonders if it would be awkward to run into Boris, he thinks it unlikely since he’s heard that the mother and son do not get along. And it seems Eve’s son is far from forgiving Boris…

Claudine Secures a Win

At BGL law firm, Alix plays a recording for Claudine where Mr. Bréval confesses to consuming potassium syrup to induce a heart attack. Claudine congratulates her colleague for obtaining such confessions. Now, she has the leverage to have his complaint withdrawn.

A few hours later, Master Levars plays the recording for Eloi Bréval. He now faces two options: either withdraw his complaint as requested by the opposing party, or maintain it and risk the recording being presented to the judge, who may pursue legal actions for insurance fraud, malicious accusation, and abusive complaint. Faced with these choices, Eloi Bréval agrees to withdraw his complaint.

Claudine tells Florent and Johanna how she managed to prove Janet’s innocence and expose Mr. Bréval’s manipulation. She then criticizes Johanna for pushing Janet to apologize and for her poor handling of the case.

Later, Claudine arrives at Janet and Becker’s house with a bottle of champagne to share the good news. She naturally takes the opportunity to stay for dinner, much to her ex-husband’s chagrin.

Meanwhile, Johanna is frustrated as no one believes that Claudine poisoned her. Fortunately, Sabine believes her and even advises her to seek revenge! At that moment, Sabine receives a message from her mother showing a photo of her with the Beckers. After showing it to Johanna, Sabine explains that all Claudine wanted was to redeem herself with Janet to get closer to her family.
