Un Si Grand Soleil: Coline Ramos-Pinto Spills on Kira’s Return as an Adult!

After being absent from the screen for over a year, Kira (Coline Ramos-Pinto) is poised for a highly anticipated return in “Un si grand soleil.” On March 21, 2024, Coline Ramos-Pinto left the show. Although she made a brief reappearance a few months later, her character hadn’t been seen since the summer of 2024.

But there’s good news for fans of the France 3 soap opera. The actress has returned to the set, bringing a more mature version of her character.

“We Agreed I’d Return for the Season Starting in the Fall”

On July 24, Allociné visited the set of “Un si grand soleil” in Montpellier, specifically at the South of France station. That day, Coline Ramos-Pinto and Fabrice Deville were filming Kira’s return scene—a significant moment for the series and a fresh start for her character.

Between takes, the actress shared some insights about the behind-the-scenes of her comeback.

“I was the one who asked to come back. I reached out to the production team, explaining why I left and why I wanted to return. Then, I spoke with Olivier Szulzynger (creator and screenwriter of ‘Un si grand soleil’) on the phone, and we agreed that I would come back for a season starting in the fall,” Coline Ramos-Pinto explained.

Although apprehensive about reprising her role, she quickly readjusted to the set. She commented, “I thought returning to the set would be a surprising, sensational experience. But actually, it felt like coming home. The character felt like home too. Even though the costumes have changed, I reconnected with the Kira I knew and fell back into my old routines“.

Warm Reunions On and Off Screen

Kira’s return promises to be a delightful event not only for the fans but also for Claire (Mélanie Maudran) and Florent. “The reunions are joyful. Even though Claire and Florent are no longer together, it doesn’t affect their daughter. It’s like old times between them,” the actress assured.

As the actress expresses her joy at rejoining the series and her castmates, Fabrice Deville, who plays Florent, shares similar excitement.

“I’m thrilled she’s back. I really like Coline. I admire her as an actress, her presence, and her approach to acting“, he shared before adding, “I’m excited to perform scenes with Mélanie and Coline again; it’s always been fantastic. I hope it brings us the same tenderness we had before“.

For him, the chemistry that binds this fictional family remains strong. “We’ve been a family that really left a mark. And the fact that we get along so well is a clever move by the scriptwriters. We’re fortunate that this family continues in the series and that we’re kept on. Florent and Claire aren’t in conflict, which is very pleasant“.

A More Mature and Committed Kira

Back in Montpellier, Kira is no longer the high school student she once was. She returns transformed, more mature, and ready to take on new challenges.

“Kira left her preparatory studies because she was bored with her education. She’s back in Montpellier looking to find a job, reconnect with her family and friends. She will work at ADMR as a home care aide. She’s not a teenager anymore; she’s an adult now“, the actress detailed.

Although initially, she will work as a home care aide at ADMR, her career path will soon take a different turn.

“Louis will remember that Kira has always been interested in journalism. He’ll mention it to his father, who will then offer her an internship. That’s how she starts at Midi Libre“.

Ultimately, it’s at Midi Libre, as a journalism intern, where Kira will find her calling. The scriptwriters will use this opportunity to tackle a significant issue on racism.
