Un Si Grand Soleil Spoilers: Full Recap of the Dec 20, 2024 Episode!

Sohann Kisses Léonor

Catherine Laumière visits the police station where Yann tells her that an investigation has been launched following a complaint filed by the health insurance agency. At the station, she insists she has nothing to say as she is unaware of any wrongdoing. When the officer mentions potential misconduct she might have covered up, Catherine reminds him that no fraud has been proven. In fact, Mr. Briand, the center’s director, confirmed no irregularities were found in the accounts. As Yann inquires about her acquaintance with him, she replies that she does not know him well, stating she had no reason to distrust him until now. When informed that he has been taken into custody, Catherine asserts that she is a victim in this affair.

Meanwhile, the director of the Coquelicots center has been arrested and taken to the police station. Although only a tenth of the center’s files have been reviewed, the police have already found nearly a hundred cases of overbilling and fictitious medical acts. They also noted that patient health cards were processed through the secretary rather than the doctors themselves. If there was a mistake in entering data or a fraud, it seems to be the secretary’s fault. As he refuses to speak, investigators warn him of the severe consequences he faces, yet he insists he is not involved in any wrongdoing.

Elsewhere, Élisabeth calls Boris into her office to discuss the health insurance fraud scandal. She informs him that she is uncertain about keeping Catherine at the helm of Laumière Santé. Although Boris reminds her of Catherine’s fragility, Élisabeth believes she has little choice if she wants to protect the company’s reputation. She then apologizes to him.

Later on, Élise, Commissioner Becker, and Prosecutor Picard review the investigation. As they lack concrete evidence against Catherine or Briard, the prosecutor advises them to secure confessions soon.

In parallel, Boris confides in Muriel that Élisabeth is considering firing his mother. Although he bears no ill will, he is worried for Catherine’s stability. Boris feels helpless about how to support her. To distract him, Muriel invites him for a drink, but he declines to take care of his mother. Muriel then takes his hand and tries to offer some comfort.

At the end of the day, Léonor and Sohann return from their evening out, showing great camaraderie. After getting closer, Sohann kisses Léonor, who pushes him away before leaving.

Maéva Meets Hélène

Maéva and Tom meet Hélène at a café terrace. After congratulating them on the strength of their relationship, Hélène explains that it is this strength that will help them face a life-changing event. When Maéva mentions they have decided to have an abortion, Tom explains that the decision isn’t easy for him. While he respects her choice, he wishes to discuss the implications of an abortion. Hélène tries to intervene, but Maéva cuts her off, realizing that Hélène is against the abortion and tells her to keep her moral lessons to herself before leaving.

Maéva then heads to the gallery and breaks down in Alix’s arms. Once she calms down, she tells the whole story. When Alix learns that Hélène is trying to sway her decision about the pregnancy, she becomes furious and confronts her former associate. After expressing her thoughts about her new activity, Alix warns her to leave Tom and Maéva alone or else she will have to deal with her.
