Once again portrayed by Tom Hardy, who seems to be having the time of his life, Venom: The Last Dance will arrive in cinemas on October 30, 2024. Released in 2018, the first film was a smash hit, grossing $856 million worldwide on a budget of $100 million.

The sequel, Let There Be Carnage, came out in 2021 and earned $506 million internationally on a budget of $110 million.

Venom’s Final Bow

Although it didn’t perform as well as its predecessor (partially due to the Covid pandemic), the total gross from the two films reached $1.36 billion. This financial success convinced Sony Pictures and Marvel to green-light a third film to conclude the trilogy centered on this iconic super-villain.

After Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis, Kelly Marcel takes over the directorial reins for the third installment. She co-wrote the first two films and also penned the script for Venom 3 with Tom Hardy. The plot of this final film is starting to take shape with this trailer.

“Eddie, the time has come”, the creature declares; is it announcing its final battle before meeting its end? We’ll have to wait until October 30th to find out. Will Spider-Man swing by to bid farewell to the character? It remains to be seen!
