This Monday, July 7, the crime series Investigations in Paradise concludes after just three weeks on the air. France 2 is set to broadcast the last two episodes of the first season of this second spin-off from Murders in Paradise tonight.

Investigations in Paradise follows the detective efforts of Mackenzie Clarke (played by Anna Samson), a London-based detective who temporarily returns to her childhood town in Australia.

When a murder occurs, Mackenzie can’t help but utilize her investigative skills to assist the local police. However, she finds herself stuck there indefinitely due to allegations of evidence tampering.

To make matters worse, among her new colleagues is her ex-fiancé whom she left at the altar, and her new boss is her former future mother-in-law.

Is a Season 2 on the Horizon?

Good news for fans of Investigations in Paradise! The crime series is indeed set to return for a second season. Filming for the new episodes has already begun in Australia.

“We are thrilled to hear that audiences around the world have embraced Mack and the rest of the Australian team and are excited to return to set with the cast and crew,” said Tim Key, the executive producer of the series, during the renewal announcement.

“We can already promise you a new season filled with clever murders, complicated romantic relationships, and beautiful Australian settings, all infused with the unique warmth and humor of the Paradise franchise series.”

However, fans will need to be patient before they can follow Mack’s continued adventures, as Season 2 is not expected to air until November 2025 in England.

In the meantime, catch the final two episodes of the first season of Investigations in Paradise this Monday, July 7, on France 2.
