His unique approach allows him to bring a fresh perspective. Alec indeed aims to understand how and why people make irrational decisions. He then uses this insight to help solve crimes.

On a personal level, Alec also battles the demons of his past. Twenty years earlier, he survived a bomb attack in a church, which killed 13 people and left him with burns over 60% of his body.

“Irrational” Returns for Season 2

Good news for “Irrational” fans: the detective series will indeed return for a second season. In November 2023, after just a few weeks on air, NBC, which airs the show in North America, announced it would renew the show for another round of episodes.

While the identity of the bomber will be revealed in the finale, season two will introduce a new mystery that promises to keep us engrossed. Additionally, Ron Canada, known for his roles in “House of Cards” and “The Good Fight,” will join the cast as the father of Alec and Kylie, setting the stage for more intriguing developments for our protagonist.
